Seo-gu, Daegu (District Mayor Ryu Han-guk) will hold the 'Old Restaurant Hidden Gems SNS Content Contest' under the theme 'Share Your Favorite Seo-gu Authentic Restaurant!' from the 21st of this month to October 31.
'Old Restaurant Hidden Gems' refers to restaurants that have been in operation for over 15 years and have continued their traditions across generations. The current list of Seo-gu's old restaurants can be found on the Seo-gu restaurant homepage.
This contest is being held to discover outstanding, hidden old restaurants in Seo-gu and to invigorate the local dining industry. Anyone interested in Seo-gu's old restaurants, regardless of region or age, can participate.
The theme is open and includes introducing Seo-gu's old restaurants that are so good you want to visit repeatedly, hidden Seo-gu gems you want to keep to yourself, or Seo-gu restaurants linked with local tourist attractions?anything related to Seo-gu's old restaurants.
The contest is divided into video categories for YouTube videos and Shorts, and Instagram Reels, as well as posting categories for blogs, Instagram, and Facebook. After visiting an old restaurant in Seo-gu, participants should upload related content to their personal SNS accounts and submit their entry via the contest page on the Daegu Seo-gu restaurant site.
Entries will be accepted from the 21st to October 31. After expert review, the winners will be announced at the end of November. A total of 30 works will be selected, with the top video entry receiving 1 million KRW, the top posting entry receiving 500,000 KRW, and a total of 5 million KRW in prize money and certificates awarded.
The winning entries will be featured on Seo-gu's homepage and SNS, and will also be used as promotional materials to boost the local dining industry produced by Daegu Seo-gu.
