Following the first tournament hosted by Shangshu City, China in 2022, and the second tournament hosted by Muan-gun in 2023, this third tournament will once again be hosted by Shangshu City.

The tournament will feature seven Baduk players from both cities competing in a team match format, applying the Chinese Baduk rule of counting (Gye-gaje), and will be held on the Yike online Baduk platform.

Kim San, Governor of Muan-gun, said, "Regardless of winning or losing, I hope this event will serve as an opportunity for the future Baduk players of both cities to communicate and share friendship with open hearts."

Meanwhile, since signing a friendship exchange agreement in 2016, Muan-gun, Korea, and Shangshu City have shared their cultures face-to-face through exchange visits and youth homestays, and after COVID-19, they have further expanded and developed international exchange projects in youth and sports.
