K-Bio Lab Hub Project Team and KIMCo Sign Business Agreement to Discover and Foster Pharmaceutical Bio Startups

The K-Bio Lab Hub Project Promotion Team of the Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Innovative Medicines Consortium (KIMCo) on the 20th to discover and nurture startup companies.

The MOU focuses on △discovering and nurturing innovative bio companies △collaborating to establish a global biohealth convergence network △building programs for global conferences and open innovation △joint research and development cooperation to promote innovation in startup bio companies.


This agreement is expected to lead the innovation of the ecosystem through open innovation for bio startups and create synergy effects by building a global network.


Han In-seok, head of the promotion team, stated, "We will strengthen the global competitiveness of Korea's bio industry and create an innovative ecosystem to provide a foundation for startup companies to grow."


Heo Kyung-hwa, CEO of KIMCo, said, "Through this agreement, we will support innovative bio startups to gain competitiveness on the global stage and continuously cooperate for the development of the biohealth sector."
