The Korea Venture Business Association announced on the 20th at the Venture Summer Forum held at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul, that it has launched the ‘Startup Committee.’


The committee will operate as a community that collects on-site voices in collaboration with venture startups from various fields and related organizations to jointly respond to industry issues such as regulatory innovation and conflicts between new and old industries, and to promote exchange and growth among members of the venture ecosystem.


The chairperson of the committee will be Lee Yong-gyun, CEO of RSquare. The operating committee members include Kim Bon-hwan, CEO of Law&Company; Lee Kwan-woo, CEO of Buzzvil; Yang Jun-cheol, CEO of OnOffMix; Han Sang-woo, CEO of Wizdom; Lee Chae-hyun, CEO of Dable; Kang Jong-soo, CEO of Colz Dynamics; Kang Seok-hoon, CEO of Ably Corporation; Jeong Seung-tan, CEO of Zente; Hwang Young-gyu, CEO of Alchera; Kim Dae-hyun, CEO of Toss Lab; Yeom Sang-jun, CEO of Sendy; and Jeong Ho-seok, lawyer at the law firm Seum.


On the same day, the committee held a ‘Venture Startup Ecosystem Round Table’ to discover opinions and issues from members of the venture startup ecosystem. Law&Company shared ‘How Law&Company Works,’ EverTreasure from the association’s young entrepreneurs group YOUNG CEO Network discussed ‘Token Securities Legislation,’ and SNUSV, a startup club at Seoul National University, shared issues on ‘Everything Needed for University Student Prospective Entrepreneurs.’


Chairperson Lee Yong-gyun said, “To create a business-friendly environment, we will listen to the diverse voices of venture startups through joint agenda discovery with related organizations and open issues using online platforms, and actively identify, respond to, and resolve them.”


Seong Sang-yeop, president of the Korea Venture Business Association, said, “It is meaningful that members of the venture startup ecosystem gathered in one place,” adding, “I hope meetings and exchanges occur frequently, and that this becomes the association’s representative community that embraces all venture startups and grows together.”
