Targeting Opening in December 2025 with Total Investment of 3.6 Billion Won
Utilizing Natural Environment, Harmonizing with Nakdonggang Tourism Infrastructure
Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province has announced plans to establish the Second Gumi Campground in response to increasing demand for outdoor activities and tourism.
The campground is scheduled to open in December 2025, with a total investment of 3.6 billion KRW. It will be located between the water park and Yanghodaegyo Bridge within the Nakdonggang Sports Park.
This site has been designed to actively utilize the surrounding natural environment and harmonize with the Nakdonggang tourism infrastructure, thereby strengthening the image of Gumi as a nature-friendly, stay-oriented tourist city.
In particular, the campground will feature 50 auto-camping sites as well as a variety of family experience and children's sports facilities, creating a space that can be enjoyed by all generations.
Additionally, the Second Gumi Campground, equipped with modern amenities, will provide visitors with the utmost comfort and help alleviate the reservation difficulties caused by high demand at the existing Gumi Campground, offering more people the opportunity to experience nature.
This is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy and inject new vitality into the city's tourism industry.
Mayor Kim Jangho said, "With the establishment of the Second Gumi Campground, Gumi City's tourism industry will further develop, and it will become the ideal place for visitors to escape the bustle of the city and relax in nature."
