Cheonan City Recruiting Candidates for Farmer's Award

Cheonan Agricultural Technology Center is recruiting candidates for the Cheonan Agriculturalist Award.

The Cheonan Agricultural Technology Center in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 20th that it is recruiting candidates for the 'Farmer's Award'.

The application period runs until the 20th of next month. The recruitment categories include the Grand Prize (Best Farmer), food crops, fruit trees, livestock, vegetables, special crops and flowers, distribution and processing, women farmers, forestry, and a merit award.

Eligible applicants are farmers, agricultural corporations, and crop groups residing in Cheonan who have contributed to the development of agriculture through agricultural technology development, income increase, etc. This also includes those who have contributed to the development of farming management techniques and export promotion, or have been selected for excellent agricultural products by submitting high-quality produce.

After local and main evaluations, the final selection will be made in October, and the award ceremony is scheduled to be held at the 29th Farmer's Day commemorative event on November 11.

In addition, until the end of this month, Cheonan agricultural specialty products to be submitted to the agricultural product evaluation fair are also being recruited. The application categories include ten items: pear (Shingo), Geobong grape, Shine Muscat, cucumber (Chwi-cheong and Dadagi), chili pepper, mushroom, walnut, egg, and honey.

The city plans to select one grand prize winner and nine excellence award winners, and display them at the 'Cheonan Agricultural Product Promotion and Experience Festival' held during the '2024 Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival' from the 25th to the 29th of next month.
