Seo Eun-woo (formerly Seo Min-jae), a cast member of the dating program 'Heart Signal 3,' spoke about the events that occurred after using drugs.
On the 19th, Seo posted on her social media (SNS) under the title "I am a drug offender." She stated, "That day was probably one of the most terrible days of my life," adding, "It was about a week after I used drugs, and I experienced severe side effects such as insomnia, depression, and panic disorder. Unable to cope, I foolishly abused sleeping pills and psychiatric medications. I have no memory after that."
Shortly after posting on SNS, Seo fell from the second floor, fracturing both sides of her pelvis and was transported to the hospital. She said, "After being admitted to orthopedics, I underwent crutch walking training and self-walking training at a rehabilitation hospital," adding, "If I had been injured more severely, I literally would not have been able to stand up."
She continued, "Once I touched drugs, I lost everything I loved. The moment drugs felt extremely terrifying was then," confessing, "When it seemed like my life could not fall any lower, I had a devilish thought: 'My life is already over, so should I just rely on drugs to escape reality and die?'"
Seo gained recognition by appearing on Channel A's entertainment program ‘Heart Signal Season 3’ in 2020. At that time, she was noted as the first female mechanic hired through Hyundai Motor Company's college graduate recruitment. However, in May 2023, she became a drug offender after methamphetamine was detected in a detailed analysis by the National Forensic Service. Committed to living a new life, she changed her name from Seo Min-jae to Seo Eun-woo, admitted all charges, and expressed deep remorse. Consequently, on January 18, she was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a 2-year probation period.
