Capacity Building and Resident Briefings Held in Five Villages Including Hanbin Village
Sancheong County in Gyeongnam has begun preparations for a preliminary plan for next year's Village Development Project. On the 20th, Sancheong County announced that it will promote resident capacity-building and community forums for the establishment of a preliminary plan for the 2025 Village Development Project.
Sancheong County is conducting a resident briefing session for the 2025 Village Development Project.
This forum, targeting a total of five villages?Hanbin Village in Sinan-myeon, Cheolsu Village in Chahwang-myeon, Jiri 1-gu Village in Sancheong-eup, Dangsan Village in Danseong-myeon, and Beopmul Village in Sindeung-myeon?began on the 19th and will continue until October. The forum, hosted by the Sancheong County Rural Agreement Support Center, will be held four times in total.
The first forum, held from the 19th to the 23rd, includes explanations of the village development process, discussions on solutions to identified issues, and time for resident unity and community building. The second forum, scheduled from September 2nd to 6th, will finalize the preliminary plan in advance and provide time for resident unity and mutual understanding.
The third and fourth forums are planned for late September through October, during which there will be field trips to exemplary areas based on demand surveys and finalization of the preliminary plan. Previously, in January of this year, Sancheong County held a guideline briefing session and, after on-site inspections and evaluations by judges for villages that applied, selected five villages.
The selected villages will receive approximately 400 million KRW per village for projects such as the construction of a village hall and multipurpose plaza, and village landscape improvement projects.
Kim Jingon, head of the Sancheong County Rural Agreement Support Center, said, "We hope this forum will be an opportunity for residents to understand the village development process in detail and to resolve any issues that may arise during project implementation."
