A large brown bear intruded into a hotel in China, causing a commotion as the staff hurriedly evacuated.

On the 17th (local time), Hong Kong media South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on the brown bear incident at a hotel in Qinghai Province in northwest China. The incident became famous after a video was shared on China's social networking service (SNS) 'Weibo.'

The video is a closed-circuit television (CCTV) recording from the hotel in Qinghai Province. In the footage, around 3 a.m., a brown bear suddenly opens the hotel door and enters. At that time, a male staff member at the reception was sound asleep and did not notice the bear.

The bear is seen wandering behind the reception area, exploring its surroundings. At this moment, the staff member senses movement and opens his eyes. After spotting the bear beside him, he is startled but calmly gathers himself, grabs only his mobile phone from the reception desk, and quickly evacuates.

The staff member who experienced the unexpected brown bear incident explained in an interview with local media, "I took my phone and ran away to seek help." Fortunately, the bear was not interested in the staff member, allowing him to evacuate safely.

It is reported that in this area, brown bears often come down to villages inhabited by people in search of food.
