Acquired 3 Additional Products Including 'Bespoke AI Combo'
Industry's Most AI-Related Certifications Achieved
Samsung Electronics announced on the 20th that it has additionally obtained the highest rating, "Diamond," in the Internet of Things (IoT) security evaluation conducted by the global certification body UL Solutions.
Recently, Samsung Electronics received the Diamond rating for a total of three products: the all-in-one washer-dryer "Bespoke AI Combo," the residential high-efficiency heat pump "EHS," and the "Bespoke Slide-In Induction Range."
Following the premium refrigerator "Bespoke AI Family Hub," which was the first in the global home appliance industry to receive the Diamond rating in March, the all-in-one robot vacuum cleaner "Bespoke AI Steam" also obtained the same rating. With this, Samsung Electronics now holds a total of five Diamond ratings, making it the company with the most highest ratings in the home appliance industry.

UL Solutions' IoT security evaluation assigns a total of five levels of ratings through rigorous tests on the hacking risks and security levels of smart appliances. In particular, the highest Diamond rating requires passing stringent tests in areas such as ▲malicious software tampering detection ▲prevention of unauthorized access attempts ▲user data anonymization.
Samsung Electronics holds not only security certifications but also the most AI-related certifications in the domestic industry. After obtaining the "AI+ Certification" for six products for the first time in Korea in 2021, it has received a total of 12 certifications, the most in the domestic home appliance industry to date. The AI+ Certification is granted by the Korea Standards Association based on international standards from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to verify the quality of AI products.
Yoo Mi-young, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions (DA) Division, said, "Samsung Electronics prioritizes security stability in product development," adding, "We will continue to strive to ensure that more consumers can use AI and SmartThings with confidence."
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics' "AI appliances" that have obtained the Diamond rating are scheduled to be exhibited at "IFA 2024" to be held next month in Berlin, Germany.
