Baedal Minjok (Baemin) announced on the 20th that it will postpone the paid launch date of its subscription service 'Baemin Club,' which offers free delivery benefits, to the 11th of next month.
Baemin originally planned to start charging for Baemin Club from that day. However, since Baemin decided to include cases where Baemin riders deliver food through separate delivery personnel from stores other than the restaurant itself in the Baemin Club free delivery service coverage, they explained that the service expansion will take effect from the 11th of next month, when Baemin Club fees will begin to be charged.
Baemin Club is a subscription service that offers free delivery for bundled deliveries called Altteul Delivery and discounted delivery fees for single deliveries. The subscription fee is 3,990 KRW. Baemin plans to maintain a promotional price of 1,990 KRW for the time being. Baemin is actively acquiring subscribers by providing free usage vouchers and other benefits.
A Baemin representative said, "We changed the official launch date of Baemin Club so that Baemin Club subscribers can receive free delivery benefits from more stores."
