District Chief Oh Eon-seok: "We Will Establish a Strong Local Integrated Defense Posture Through Eulji Exercise"
District (Gu) Builds Emergency Preparedness System Through Organic Cooperation Among Civilians, Government, Military, Police, and Fire Services
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held the first situation briefing for the 2024 Eulji Exercise on the 19th at the comprehensive exhibition situation room of the district office, with officials from related organizations such as the Dobong-gu Battalion, Dobong Police Station, and Dobong Fire Station in attendance.
The briefing proceeded in the order of ▲ watching the Eulji Exercise promotional video ▲ reporting the overview and key measures of the Eulji Exercise ▲ military situation report.
This Eulji Exercise, conducted amid increasing importance of national security due to advanced North Korean nuclear and missile threats, cyberattacks, and the release of trash balloons, will be held for four days until the 22nd. It includes realistic drills such as anti-terrorism training at Dobongsan Station, discussions on major current issues, and civil defense training for air raid preparedness.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, “Through this Eulji Exercise, we will strengthen our response capabilities to emergency situations and take this opportunity to further solidify the cooperative system with related organizations.”
Meanwhile, on the same day, a military equipment exhibition was held in the first-floor lobby of the district office to promote national security awareness and build consensus on the Eulji Exercise. Various military equipment, including mortars and firearms, were showcased at the exhibition.
