Ko Jin-young has risen to 3rd place in the world rankings.

In the women's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 19th (local time), she earned 5.56 points, jumping one spot from 4th place last week. She secured ranking points by finishing tied for 6th at the LPGA Tour ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open (total prize money $2 million), which concluded the previous day at Dundonald Links in Ayrshire, Scotland (par 72, 6,584 yards). This marks her fifth top-10 finish this year, following a tied 8th place in the two-player team Dow Championship in June. Ko Jin-young will challenge for her first victory of the year next week at the final major tournament, the AIG Women's Open (total prize money $9 million).


Nelly Korda and Lilia Vu (both from the United States) maintained their positions as the top two. Yang Hee-young dropped to 4th place after giving up the 3rd spot to Ko Jin-young. Hannah Green (Australia) is 5th, Lin Xiyu (China) 6th, Ayaka Furue (Japan) 7th, C?line Boutier (France) 8th, Rose Zhang (United States) 9th, and Charley Hull (England) is ranked 10th. Lauren Coughlin (United States), who won her first career title last month at the CPKC Women's Open and secured her second career win at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open, jumped 12 spots from 26th to 14th this week. South Korea's Kim Hyo-joo is 15th, Yoo Hae-ran 19th, Shin Ji-ae 30th, Lee Ye-won 31st, and Park Hyun-kyung is ranked 37th.
