According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Typhoon Jongdari is expected to pass near the sea southwest of Seogwipo around 9 a.m. on the 20th and near the sea southeast of Heuksando around 9 p.m. with maximum wind speeds of 18 to 19 m/s and a strong wind radius of 230 to 240 km. It is forecasted to weaken into a tropical depression near the sea southwest of Seosan around 9 a.m. on the following day, the 21st.

The government requested inspections and increased patrols of facilities in nearby areas such as coastal lowlands, ports, fishing harbors, and estuaries to prepare for sea level rise, swells, and storm surges. They also urged securing and fastening signboards, tower cranes, construction materials, fishing boats, and vessels in advance. Preemptive control to prevent flooding damage and strengthening resident evacuation in low-lying areas near coasts and rivers, parking lots, and underground spaces were also emphasized.

Director Lee said, "Since the typhoon is expected to have a significant impact starting on the 20th, please continue to monitor weather conditions and refrain from visiting dangerous areas such as coastal walking trails, breakwaters, and riverbanks."
