Asiana Airlines "Increases 52 Flights on 8 Overseas Routes During Chuseok Holiday"

Responding to Holiday Customer Surge... 8 Additional Domestic Flights Added

Asiana Airlines will increase domestic and international flights during the Chuseok holiday period, adding a total of over 12,000 seats.

On the 19th, Asiana Airlines announced that it will operate an additional 52 charter flights (one-way basis) on 8 international routes departing from Incheon Airport from the 14th to the 18th of next month.

The routes departing from Incheon include ▲Osaka 8 flights ▲Okinawa 8 flights ▲Ube 8 flights ▲Fukuoka 4 flights ▲Sapporo 4 flights ▲Miyazaki 4 flights ▲Da Nang 8 flights ▲Taipei 8 flights.

Domestic flights will also be increased. During the holiday period, 8 temporary flights (one-way basis) will be added on the Gimpo~Jeju route. As a result, a total of 12,048 additional seats will be supplied on both international and domestic flights during the Chuseok holiday period.

To coincide with the start of the holiday, charter flights to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia will operate daily from the 12th of next month until October 26. On the Taipei route to Taiwan, which currently operates twice daily, the superjumbo A380 aircraft will be deployed four times a week starting next month, and the frequency will increase to five times a week from October 9.

Additionally, flights to Europe and Southeast Asia will be expanded starting next month. From the 1st of next month, the Barcelona, Spain route will increase from three to five flights per week, and the Istanbul, Turkey route will increase from four to five flights per week.

A promotional event will also be held to celebrate the increased flights. In collaboration with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, passengers who purchase tickets to Taipei on the Asiana Airlines website or application (app) by the 7th of next month will be entered into a draw to receive accommodation support worth approximately 200,000 KRW for a total of 1,000 winners. The travel period is from the 1st of next month to October 26.

An Asiana Airlines official said, "We have expanded seat supply to enhance travel convenience for our customers," adding, "Especially this year, since the holiday can be extended up to 9 days by using vacation days, we expect high reservation rates for international flights ranging from short-haul to long-haul routes."
