DGP, a solar power plant design, procurement, and construction (EPC) specialist company, announced on the 19th that it has signed a strategic partnership memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Seoul National University Power Research Institute (SEPRI) for a future energy platform project.
Through this agreement, DGP and SEPRI plan to conduct various joint research and development (R&D) projects for future energy. In particular, they will develop technologies related to energy storage systems (ESS), batteries, and the optimization of data center operations using solar power and ESS technologies.
They also plan to actively recruit outstanding researchers for new technology R&D, aiming to design an eco-friendly future energy platform to secure future growth engines. Based on this agreement, DGP stated that it is currently preparing plans to participate in government projects.
A DGP representative said, "With the signing of this agreement, DGP and Seoul National University Power Research Institute will take an important step forward to lead the future of the energy industry through mutually organic cooperation," adding, "We will contribute to creating social value by developing sustainable ESS and battery-related solutions as the utility of ESS continues to increase."
Meanwhile, Seoul National University Power Research Institute is a research institution under Seoul National University that conducts research in the fields of power and energy. SEPRI aims to develop new technologies in these fields and promote collaboration with industry to commercialize them.
