Paldo Techpack, a domestic packaging material manufacturing company, announced that following its focused investment of approximately 2.8 billion KRW last year in machinery and equipment (compression machines for PET cups, injection molding machines for beverage caps/containers, etc.) for sustainable management, it plans to diversify its product portfolio this year by additionally introducing a 450-ton injection molding machine to achieve its management goal of maximizing corporate value.
Paldo Techpack achieved remarkable growth in injection molding sales volume in 2023 compared to the previous year. This is evaluated as a result of expanding investments in various product lines and swiftly responding to rapidly changing market demand.
In particular, the introduction of new compression machines has significantly enhanced PET cup production capacity. By entering the general convenience store ice cup market from March this year, in addition to the existing franchise ice cups, the company has greatly contributed to a sales increase of about 9% year-on-year in the first half of the year.
Moreover, Paldo Techpack is actively working to create a safe workplace. To eliminate potential hazards that could lead to near-miss accidents, the company conducts industrial safety and health meetings and risk assessments quarterly, significantly increasing its safety budget compared to the previous year to improve safety awareness and working conditions. Additionally, it regularly conducts in-house fire prevention training, striving to prevent safety accidents, which have recently become a critical issue.
A Paldo Techpack representative stated, "All employees are doing their best to deliver the highest quality to our customers," and emphasized, "Despite ongoing international conflicts and high inflation causing difficult external and internal conditions, Paldo Techpack continues to operate without debt. We will continue to maximize corporate value through sustainable management and strive to be a company that contributes to society."
