Lee Eon-ju, who joined as a newly appointed Supreme Council member in the 'Lee Jae-myung 2nd Leadership,' is well known as a sharp critic of President Yoon Suk-yeol.
Born in 1972 in Busan Metropolitan City, Lee graduated from Yeongdo Girls' High School and Seoul National University with a degree in French Language and Literature. She earned a Master of Laws degree from Northwestern University Graduate School and a Master of Economic Law from Yonsei University Graduate School of Law.
She passed the 39th Judicial Examination in 1997 and worked as a lawyer. In 2008, she served as an executive director at S-Oil. She joined the Democratic United Party (now the Democratic Party) in 2012 and was consecutively re-elected in the 19th general election representing Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province. After her re-election in 2016, she criticized the then Moon Jae-in administration, calling it 'pro-Moon (pro-Moon Jae-in) hegemonism.'

In 2017, she left the Democratic Party and joined the People's Party. She later moved to the Bareunmirae Party and in 2020 joined the United Future Party (now the People Power Party). She was active as a sharp critic of President Yoon Suk-yeol and left the People Power Party earlier this year.
Ahead of this year's general election, after Lee Jae-myung, the party leader, proposed her return, she ran as a Democratic Party candidate in Yongin Jeong, Gyeonggi Province, and won a third term.
