Improving Civil Complaint Administration Efficiency and Promoting District Affairs
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) recently introduced the ‘Smart Lettering Service,’ which displays the district office’s image and caller information such as the department on the smartphone screen when the district office calls a civil petitioner.
The introduction of the Smart Lettering Service was implemented to improve the efficiency of civil administration processing, as administrative calls were sometimes mistaken for spam or voice phishing.
Accordingly, when the district office calls a civil petitioner, the smartphone screen shows the Seongbuk-gu Office image and the relevant department information, and after the call ends, it connects to the district office website to provide information on various policies and events.
The Smart Lettering Service is available on Android-based smartphones with the Visible ARS Service Sharing app installed. For smartphones without the ARS Service Sharing app installed and iPhone users who are unsupported due to security policies, a ‘Missed Call Notification’ service is provided through Kakao AlimTalk. Users who do not wish to use the service can stop it by pressing the ‘Refuse Lettering Reception’ button.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, “The Smart Lettering Service can resolve the issue where administrative calls were not answered because they were mistaken for spam or voice phishing, which delayed civil administration processing. By displaying the caller department information on smartphones, we expect to not only enhance administrative trust but also effectively promote various district news and policies.”
