On Sunday the 18th, scorching heat will continue in most parts of the country, with scattered showers expected in some areas.
The morning low temperatures are forecast to be between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius.
With the highest apparent temperatures rising to around 35 degrees Celsius in most regions nationwide, it will be very hot. Many places, especially in the western regions and along the Gyeongsang coastal areas, will experience tropical nights, so caution is advised for health management.
There will be occasional clouds nationwide, and from afternoon to evening, showers are expected in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, and the Jeolla region. Showers are also expected in Jeju Island in the afternoon.
Expected rainfall amounts are 5 to 60 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon; 5 to 40 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeju Island. Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy, with occasional rain until dawn due to the influence of a pressure trough.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' to 'Moderate' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
