The district will visit the selected households with experts in the electrical and gas fields to check ▲ the operation of circuit breakers and presence of electrical leakage ▲ gas leaks and risk factors for gas accidents.

If any parts or facilities are found to be aged or pose a high risk of accidents if neglected, they will be immediately repaired, and spray-type fire extinguishers will be distributed to prevent fires.

The budget for this safety inspection, maintenance, and repair is approximately 60 million KRW.

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “We will focus on and carefully inspect the more vulnerable areas according to household composition and housing type, and provide support accordingly. We will do our best to create a safe living environment.”
