Sangseop Lim, Korea Forest Service Chief, Conducts Safety Inspection for Workers at Grass Mowing Project Site

The Korea Forest Service announced that Director Im Sang-seop visited the grass cutting project site in Sinbuk-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 16th to inspect the safety management status of workers at the forest project site.

The grass cutting project involves on-site personnel directly removing weeds and vines, making them vulnerable to exposure to bees, ticks, snakes, and other hazards. Recently, with ongoing heatwave warnings, the incidence of heat-related illnesses such as exhaustion has increased, making the prevention of safety accidents crucial.

Accordingly, since the 2nd of this month, the Korea Forest Service has been intensively inspecting forest project sites, focusing on grass cutting sites, to ensure the wearing of personal protective equipment, the provision of first aid kits, and the establishment of emergency medical transport systems.
