On June 14, Ulju County in Ulsan, together with Ulju Police Station and the Ulju County Branch of the Youth Guidance Association, conducted a joint public-private inspection and crackdown on harmful environments for youth during the summer season at Jinha Beach in Seosaeng-myeon and the surrounding areas.
This joint inspection was organized to ensure that young people can spend their summer vacation in a safe and wholesome environment. Patrols were intensified around vacation spots to carry out activities aimed at protecting youth from various harmful environments.
On the day of the operation, the inspection team visited convenience stores and restaurants near the beach to crack down on youth misconduct such as drinking and smoking, and to check whether signs prohibiting the sale of alcohol and tobacco to those under 19 were properly displayed.
In addition, promotional activities were conducted to prevent violations of the Youth Protection Act in advance, such as distributing leaflets to encourage routine ID checks.
An official from Ulju County stated, "With the summer vacation approaching, we will continue to monitor youth misconduct and harmful environments around vacation areas to create a healthy and safe environment for young people."
