Cheongsong County Accepting Applications for 2025 Young Farmer Development Project

Fostering Next-Generation Farming Leaders, Opening the Future of Agriculture

Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province will begin accepting applications for the '2025 Young Farmer Development Project' starting on the 19th.

This project aims to foster young farmers as key players in digital agricultural innovation and support their stable settlement in farming.


Eligibility is limited to young farmers aged 18 to 40 who reside in Cheongsong County. The support programs include: ▲ Beginner Young Farmer Mentoring Support (50,000 KRW per month for technology transfer from leading farms, 1,000,000 KRW per month for on-site education and training for young farmers) ▲ Young Farmer Start-up Foundation Support (up to 200 million KRW per site for facilities, equipment, and product/brand development needed for production, distribution, manufacturing, processing, experience, or exhibition) ▲ Young Farmer Community Activation Support (up to 10 million KRW per community space for operating and activity expenses, supported for up to three years) ▲ Young Farmer Farmland Lease Support (50% of annual lease fee, up to 2 million KRW per year for a maximum of three years, when signing a farmland lease contract through the Korea Rural Community Corporation's Farmland Bank Project).

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, "In response to the aging rural population and the risk of regional extinction, it is necessary to expand policies to discover young farmers who will lead the future of agriculture," adding, "We will continue to spare no effort in supporting the cultivation of next-generation farming leaders in line with local needs."
