From the 20th to the 22nd of next month for three days
Gyeonggi-do Icheon City will hold the '28th Haetsare Janghowon Peach Festival' for three days from the 20th to the 22nd of next month at the Janghowon Haetsare Agricultural Products Distribution Center Peach Festival Site.
Under the theme "Janghowon Hwangdo~ Fall into Sweetness!", this festival is organized to promote the local specialty, 'Haetsare Janghowon Peach.' In particular, the Hwangdo peaches produced in Janghowon are popular for their high sugar content and rich juice.
The city plans to offer various attractions during the festival, including a singing contest, band performances, and Taekwondo demonstrations, along with family-oriented participatory events such as ▲Youth Cover Dance ▲Instant Four-Cut Peach Photo Taking ▲Peach Dessert Making ▲Creating My Own Mood Light, and more.
During the event period, in addition to the festival site, a direct peach market will be held at Seolbong Park and Lotte Premium Outlet to connect producers and consumers directly.
To alleviate parking difficulties during the festival, the city will operate shuttle buses on the 21st and 22nd running from Notap 3-ri Cheongmicheon to Janghowon Bus Terminal to the festival site. The buses will run every 30 minutes from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, said, "We hope that through the Haetsare Janghowon Peach Festival, peaches, the representative specialty of Icheon City, will become more widely known."
