A story has been shared about a couple whose 5,000 won winning lottery ticket led to a 500 million won jackpot.

On the 13th, the official website of the lottery operator 'Donghaeng Lottery' introduced the story of Mr. A, the first prize winner of the 84th round of 'Speedo1000'.

Recently, Mr. A, who was on a business trip, purchased 5,000 won worth of Lotto tickets, 5,000 won worth of Pension Lottery tickets, and 3,000 won worth of Speedo1000 tickets at a lottery sales store in Yeongju-si, Gyeongbuk, while on the move. Mr. A, who usually buys small amounts of Lotto, Pension Lottery, and Speedo tickets about once a month, checked the Speedo1000 tickets after returning home from the trip and found that one of the three tickets had won 10,000 won. He then exchanged it for 10 tickets at a nearby lottery store.

After scratching the exchanged tickets again, Mr. A confirmed that he had won 5,000 won. He then handed the winning tickets to his wife and asked her, "Please exchange the winning tickets when you have time." A few days later, Mr. A's wife exchanged the tickets for Speedo tickets, scratched them at home, and was shocked to find that they had won first prize.

Mr. A recalled, "(My wife) won first prize and sent me a photo," adding, "I couldn't believe it even after seeing it, so I went back to the lottery store to confirm, and the owner congratulated me, saying it was indeed first prize." He expressed his feelings about the win, saying, "I still feel dazed and very happy." He also said, "I am happy to have received such a grateful fortune. I wish everyone lots of luck during these difficult times."

Regarding plans for the prize money, he stated, "Most of it will be deposited, and some will be used to repay loans."
