I AM Focuses on Resolving Qualified Opinion in Semiannual Report... "Preparing Additional Explanations and Supporting Documents"

On the 16th, IM announced that it will actively resolve the reasons for the qualified opinion due to the scope limitation in the semi-annual review report and strive to receive an unqualified opinion in the year-end audit report.

On the 14th, IM disclosed that it received a qualified opinion on the semi-annual review report. The accounting firm stated that the basis for the qualified opinion was the failure to obtain sufficient and appropriate evidence regarding the costs and loss treatment related to the tax investigation of overseas subsidiaries.

The company will conduct a thorough review of the pointed-out issues and seek expert opinions to prepare countermeasures. Since the pointed-out reasons are limited to the issue of evidence for costs and losses related to the tax investigation of overseas subsidiaries, it is expected that the matter can be promptly resolved through the submission of additional evidence and explanations.

IM explained that it plans to resolve the reasons for the qualified opinion and strive to receive an unqualified opinion on the year-end audit report. Additionally, it will take this opportunity to organize the internal accounting systems of its subsidiaries and systematically improve them to prevent recurrence of the issues.

A company official said, "We apologize to our shareholders for causing concern due to the qualified opinion on the semi-annual review report and the designation as a management improvement stock," adding, "Since the reasons for the qualified opinion are limited to the issue of costs related to the tax investigation of overseas subsidiaries and are neither numerous nor complex, we will actively provide explanations."

He continued, "Along with resolving the pointed-out issues, the company will take this opportunity to organize the internal systems and do its best to ensure that there will be no problems in receiving an unqualified opinion on the year-end audit report."
