Dobong-gu Holds Export Shipment Ceremony for Promotional Event at LA Korean Festival on August 14... 28,000 Pairs of Socks and 540 Garments Shipped... Promotion and Sales at LA Korean Festival
Small and medium-sized enterprises and small business products from Dobong-gu, which will be showcased at the LA Korean Festival, have been shipped to the United States.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that on August 14, a shipment ceremony for export products for the LA Korean Festival promotional event was held at the main gate plaza of Dobong-gu Office.
This year, 28,000 pairs of socks and 540 pieces of clothing, four times the volume of last year, were shipped. The shipped items include socks from 12 companies of the Sock Manufacturers Association and eco-friendly clothing from Greenware Co., Ltd., a tenant company of Seoul Startup Hub Chang-dong.
In the case of socks, the products were selected based on consumer preferences and tastes confirmed through last year’s sales performance at the LA Korean Festival.
The products shipped on this day are scheduled to be promoted and sold at the LA Korean Festival held at Seoul International Park in LA, USA, from September 26 to 30 for four days. The LA Korean Festival is the largest multicultural festival in Southern California, attracting more than 300,000 visitors annually.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Last year, we widely promoted the excellence of Dobong-gu products in the United States. This year, we organized the products more effectively by leveraging last year’s experience. We are confident that we will bring meaningful results again this time.”
The district participated in the LA Korean Festival for the first time last year and achieved great results despite being a first-time participant. Cosmetic products from local companies sold out on the first day of the festival. Additionally, a $100,000 export contract was signed with the Southern California Nurses Association.
