Donation Worth 10 Million Won to ChildFund Korea Busan Branch
Air Busan (CEO Doo Sungkuk) created meaningful memories by donating its in-flight merchandise to underprivileged children in the local community.
On the 14th, at the Green Umbrella Busan Regional Office, Air Busan's Cabin Support Team Leader Kim Minkyoung and Green Umbrella Busan Regional Director Kim Heeseok, along with other officials, attended a ceremony where 250 Air Busan in-flight blocks (worth approximately 10 million KRW), one of the airline's popular in-flight sales items, were delivered as donation items.
The donated items will be distributed to underprivileged children in the original downtown area of Dong-gu and Gangseo-gu in Busan.
In addition to this donation, since 2013, Air Busan has been running the "Employee Salary Change Collection Campaign" to support neighbors in need within the region. In April, CEO Doo Sungkuk and members of the cabin crew volunteer club "Blue Angel" visited the Busan Gangseo-gu Community Welfare Center to participate in the "Sharing Love Rice" distribution and meal service volunteer activities for low-income families. Recently, Air Busan also purchased artwork from the Milal Welfare Foundation's art troupe for people with developmental disabilities and donated 10 million KRW to the foundation.
An Air Busan representative stated, "By creating meaningful memories for underprivileged children, we hope to support their bright and healthy growth and raise overall social awareness. We plan to continue similar sponsorship activities in the future."
Green Umbrella is a leading child welfare organization in Korea, operating various welfare programs such as nationwide sponsorship projects for underprivileged children to support their happy growth.
