Songpa-gu Invites Seoul National University Hospital Professor Lee Haeyoung for Special Lecture on Heart Disease Prevention and Management

Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it will hold a "Health Promotion Celebrity Lecture" at 3 p.m. on September 10th in the main auditorium of Songpa-gu Office to promote the healthy lives of residents in the era of 100-year lifespans.

The district planned the 'Health Promotion Celebrity Lecture' to provide residents with accurate health information and support healthy lifestyle practices. In the first half of this year, the first lecture was held on the theme of 'Habits for Aging Slowly,' which received great response.

The second half lecture will invite Professor Lee Hae-young from the Department of Cardiology at Seoul National University Hospital, known as an expert in hypertension and heart disease, to give a lecture on the theme of 'Prevention and Management of Heart Disease in the Era of 100-Year Lifespans.'

This lecture will ▲ present health solutions for preventing chronic diseases such as hypertension and dyslipidemia ▲ provide specific practical methods for preventing and managing heart disease in daily life, including understanding hypertension correctly as it is a major precursor to heart disease.

Following this, a Q&A session will be held to address concerns and questions about heart disease.

The lecture is free and open to all residents interested in health. Those who wish to participate can register in advance by calling the Songpa-gu Health Promotion Division or through the QR code. Registration is limited to the first 300 applicants.

Previously, the district has been focusing on the 'Prevention and Management Project for Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases' reflecting residents' health statistics and needs. In particular, as the medical utilization rates for hypertension and diabetes among Songpa-gu residents are increasing, the district is strengthening chronic disease prevention and management projects and conducting customized health promotion projects prioritized according to residents' health status.

Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, "We have prepared this lecture to help residents prepare for a healthy old age in the era of 100-year lifespans, so we hope many will participate and benefit from health management." He added, "We will continue to do our best to provide various health promotion projects tailored to local conditions so that all residents can enjoy a healthy life."
