This summer, with the relentless heat wave continuing day after day, 'Gift Truck' and the 'Busan Oppa Team' gifted a refreshing 'Watermelon Truck' to the firefighters of Busan Gangseo Fire Station, who are dedicated to protecting citizens' safety in the scorching heat.
Gift Truck and Busan Oppa Team gifted a refreshing "Watermelon Truck" to the firefighters of Gangseo Fire Station in Busan.
Last July, Gift Truck and Busan Oppa launched the 'Heart Story Campaign' to beat the heat for those unable to enjoy a summer vacation. They received many heartwarming stories from people.
Among them, the story submitted by firefighter Byun Younga, who works at Busan Gangseo Fire Station, received the most support. Despite the high frequency of large-scale fires that come with great risk and pressure, she wanted to give her always bright and positive colleagues a cool gift for the hot summer, so she submitted her story. As their job requires them to run toward the hottest scenes, the need for a refreshing gift resonated with many, and her story was ultimately selected. Gift Truck and Busan Oppa prepared a special watermelon truck as a gift.
On August 14, coinciding with Malbok (the last of the three hottest days in Korea), the 'Watermelon Truck' arrived at Busan Gangseo Fire Station and was warmly welcomed by the firefighters. Gift Truck provided cool watermelon juice and watermelon punch, as well as fun activities like water gun games and candle-blowing games to help the firefighters beat the heat. At the end of the hot summer, on Malbok, Gift Truck and Busan Oppa created fun and joyful memories for the firefighters.
Byun Younga, the winner of the campaign, shared her thoughts, saying, "I wanted to prepare a special gift for my colleagues who work so hard in this hot weather, and I am happy that today's event seems to have brought good energy to everyone."
Son Hakyung, manager of Gift Truck, said, "This campaign was more than just a simple event to provide a cool summer; it was an important message that we do not forget the hard work of firefighters who work at the hottest scenes to ensure citizens' safety, even in the heat." She added, "In line with our mission to 'create happy moments with people in everyday life,' Gift Truck will continue to create campaigns that bring joy and happiness to many people."
Gift Truck operates a 'food mobility service,' loading famous F&B brands such as Illy Cafe and Knotted, as well as local restaurant brands, onto food trucks for use in corporate welfare and marketing events, local festivals, and apartment markets. They are striving to establish food trucks as the most enjoyable channel for experiencing F&B in everyday life.
Busan Oppa, the representative SNS channel in Busan that collaborated with Gift Truck, is dedicated to creating a better daily life through local lifestyle content. Based on its corporate value, it introduces great spaces and brands in Busan and works to create more enjoyable offline experiences through its online content.
