Shinsegae Family Wealth 6.4 Billion Won... 21% Decrease from Previous Year
Chairwoman Lee Myung-hee and Spouse Down 35%
Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte Group, received a total compensation of 11.789 billion KRW from Lotte Holdings and six affiliates in the first half of this year. This amount is about 500 million KRW more than the 11.254 billion KRW he received in the first half of last year.
According to the semi-annual reports disclosed by these companies on the 14th, Chairman Shin received 4.171 billion KRW from Lotte Holdings in the first half. Of this, his salary was 2.01 billion KRW, and bonuses were 2.17 billion KRW. He received 1.11 billion KRW from Lotte Shopping and 2 billion KRW from Lotte Chemical. Additionally, he received 1.314 billion KRW from Hotel Lotte, 1.112 billion KRW from Lotte Wellfood, 1.499 billion KRW from Lotte Chilsung Beverage, and 592 million KRW from Lotte Property & Development.
Lee Jae-hyun, Chairman of CJ Group, received 4.066 billion KRW in compensation in the first half of this year. Chairman Lee received 1.875 billion KRW from CJ CheilJedang and 2.191 billion KRW from the holding company CJ in the first half. This is 18.16% less than the 4.968 billion KRW he earned in the first half of last year. His annual salary decreased as he did not receive compensation from CJ ENM in the first half of this year.
Jung Yong-jin, who was promoted in March and is Chairman of Shinsegae Group, received 1.72 billion KRW in compensation from E-Mart in the first half of this year. Of this, his salary was 991 million KRW, and bonuses were 729 million KRW. Chairman Jung’s annual salary for the first half of this year is 3.37% (60 million KRW) less than the same period last year. His younger sister, Jung Yoo-kyung, President of Shinsegae, also received 1.714 billion KRW from Shinsegae, which is 60 million KRW less than the same period last year.
Lee Myung-hee, General Chairwoman of Shinsegae, received 884 million KRW from E-Mart and 632 million KRW from Shinsegae. Her total compensation for the first half was 1.516 billion KRW, about 35% lower than last year. Her husband, Jung Jae-eun, Honorary Chairman of Shinsegae Group, received the same amount of compensation from E-Mart and Shinsegae as Chairwoman Lee. As a result, the total compensation of the Shinsegae family for the first half of this year was 6.466 billion KRW, which is 21.36% less than the first half of last year.
Jung Ji-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group, received 2.395 billion KRW in compensation in the first half of this year. Chairman Jung received 1.882 billion KRW from Hyundai Department Store and 513 million KRW from Hyundai GFS Holdings. His younger brother, Jung Kyo-sun, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group, received 2.07 billion KRW from three affiliates. Vice Chairman Jung received 660 million KRW from Hyundai Department Store, 513 million KRW from Hyundai GFS Holdings, and 834 million KRW from Hyundai Home Shopping, respectively.
