The executive at Samsung Electronics who received the highest compensation in the first half of this year was Vice Chairman Lee Hae-chang.


According to Samsung Electronics' semi-annual report on the 14th, Vice Chairman Lee Hae-chang received a total compensation of 1.977 billion KRW. His salary was 265 million KRW, and his bonus was 1.631 billion KRW.

Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee received 1.128 billion KRW in compensation. President Kyung Kye-hyun received 730 million KRW, including a bonus of 99 million KRW. MX Division Head Noh Tae-moon received 1.097 billion KRW, Management Support Office Head Park Hak-gyu received 773 million KRW, and Memory Division Head Lee Jung-bae received 610 million KRW.


The total compensation paid to the five inside directors of Samsung Electronics was 4.329 billion KRW, averaging 866 million KRW per person. The average salary per employee across the entire company was 54 million KRW. The number of Samsung Electronics employees increased by 4,099 compared to the same period last year, reaching 128,169. Chairman Lee Jae-yong has not received a salary since 2017.
