Yeongdeok-gun Community Welfare Council Provides Daily Necessities to Heatwave-Vulnerable Neighbors Yeongdeok County Community Security Council supports daily necessities for heatwave-vulnerable neighbors.

This project is part of the "Together Happy Fund Matching Grant Project," a special initiative by the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea this year. Council members from each eup and myeon visit and check on neighbors struggling due to the ongoing heatwave, providing essential goods to each household with support of up to 150,000 KRW per household.

The "Together Happy Fund" is a year-round fundraising campaign by the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea in partnership with community social security councils in 22 cities and counties in the province. The aim is to develop community-based resources and address welfare blind spots. The council provides emergency relief and specialized projects to beneficiaries identified by the council.

Kang Sujeon, the private chair of the Ganggu-myeon Community Social Security Council, said, "I hope this support project will help elderly residents struggling with the heat get through the summer," and added, "We will continue to look out for neighbors who may need help or are facing difficulties."
