New Employee Onboarding Program Established for Youth Growth Project
Jung-gu, Seoul announced on the 14th that it has prepared the "Youth Growth Project," an onboarding program for new employees, to help young people nurture their dreams at work and build a stable career.
The program targets 30 new employees aged between 18 and 34 who have been employed for less than three years. Recruitment is on a first-come, first-served basis, with applications accepted separately through the respective websites for companies and individuals.
For company recruitment, the program is aimed at businesses located in Jung-gu. Customized training content and schedules will be provided according to the characteristics of each company to help new employees adapt well to the workplace and achieve tangible results.
Individual recruitment targets young people residing in Jung-gu or working within Jung-gu, who can apply for desired training through the website. The training includes ▲ data analysis methods to improve work efficiency ▲ communication skills in the workplace ▲ organizational adaptation and stress management ▲ work management techniques to maximize efficiency. In particular, outstanding participants will be offered opportunities for personalized career consulting and psychological counseling.
Youths who attend more than 80% of the training will receive a certificate of completion, and companies will be issued a certification confirmation from the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Companies that receive this certification will be given additional points when applying to become youth-friendly small and medium enterprises selected by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The district plans to provide continuous follow-up support through ongoing communication with the youth even after the training ends. By establishing youth communication channels, the district will regularly monitor how the training content is applied in practice and share concerns and feedback regarding the workplace.
A district official said, "The trial and errors and difficulties experienced in the early stages of working life can be a significant challenge for anyone," adding, "We will actively support young people to gain confidence, adapt to the workplace, and grow into key talents in society."
