Independent research firm Valuefinder evaluated on the 14th that MGEN Solution is a company holding patents for AI fire suppression systems and is expected to emerge as a key player in electric vehicle fire countermeasures.
MGEN Solution (hereinafter referred to as the company) is a company listed on the KOSDAQ market since 1997. It operates primarily in the printer developer business as a first-tier vendor for Foxconn printers.
In May, MGEN Solution registered two patents: ‘AI Fire Suppression System’ and ‘Fire Tracking and Extinguishing Control Method.’ Previously, its subsidiary Hyundai Infracore commercialized the AI fire suppression system for the first time in Korea.
Researcher Lee Choongheon of Valuefinder explained, “Due to recent social issues such as electric vehicle fires, the company’s automated fire suppression solution is expected to directly benefit,” adding, “The company’s ‘Standalone Alpha Shot System’ can respond within 30 seconds of fire occurrence and sprays water and extinguishing agents upon detection.”
This product has the advantage of detecting smoke or flames with 99% accuracy immediately after a fire starts. The researcher noted, “Lithium battery fires cannot be suppressed with simple powder extinguishers, so the company’s system is likely to attract attention,” and added, “It can be installed outdoors, enabling response in spaces such as parking lot fires.”
The company’s solution features ▲ multi-channel CCTV video analysis using the Yolo model ▲ active AI fire suppression ▲ intelligent automated fire suppression ▲ Korea’s first evacuation guidance system.
Researcher Lee said, “The electric and electronics new business is also progressing smoothly through the Vietnamese subsidiary MUSEM VINA,” and analyzed, “Attention should be paid to the turnaround to profitability in the second half and the visibility of new businesses.”
The company’s electric and electronics new business produces transformers and inductors used in home appliances at its Vietnamese subsidiary and delivers them to global home appliance companies. The current production capacity exceeds 6.5 million units per month, with additional expansion under consideration.
Researcher Lee anticipated that “as the US-China conflict intensifies, the de-Chinaization of manufacturing facilities is rapidly progressing,” expecting the company to benefit indirectly during the supply chain restructuring. The company has secured global top-tier home appliance companies (Samsung Electronics, TCL, Hisense) as clients and is conducting R&D discussions for product supply with domestic company L.
Researcher Lee analyzed, “The Vietnamese-produced products aim for double-digit profit margins,” and added, “Along with the turnaround to profitability in the second half of this year and the favorable environment of increasing interest in the company’s automated fire suppression solutions, the momentum at the stock price level is also expected to be positive.”
