Expanding Immersive Experiences in the Culture and Arts Sector
On the 14th, Olymp Planet announced that it will be responsible for the XR exhibition of the ‘K-Heritage Art Exhibition, Ban Ahoyeon (盤牙浩然)’ hosted by the preliminary social enterprise Savers Korea on the immersive extended reality (XR) content portal 'Exromeda'.
‘K-Heritage Ban Ahoyeon’ is an exhibition held until the 25th at the ‘Sodaeheon·Hoyeonjae Old House’ in Daejeon, designated as a national folk cultural heritage site. Visitors can explore the old house's scenery while viewing a total of 64 works including crafts, paintings, and sculptures by 25 emerging contemporary artists.
This XR exhibition will be available for free on the web-based XR portal Exromeda. Even if visitors cannot physically attend the exhibition due to constraints, anyone can easily enjoy cultural heritage content anytime and anywhere.
Exromeda has implemented 23 of the exhibited works on-site as XR content through 3D scanning. Each exhibit can be viewed from all 360 degrees, providing an ‘immersive exhibition experience.’ Additionally, visitors can freely explore the scenery of the ‘Sodaeheon·Hoyeonjae Old House,’ which consists of four buildings.
Kim Min-woo, Head of the Exromeda Business Division, said, “The K-Heritage XR exhibition allows people to experience national cultural heritage through immersive content and easily access the lives and spirits of our ancestors anytime and anywhere on the web,” adding, “We will seek collaboration opportunities with related institutions in cultural heritage and tourism, integrate ‘K-content’ expressing our unique identity with XR technology, expand it to the global market, and contribute to enhancing cultural exchange.”
