Park Myungsoo Reveals 'Selfie' Taken with Shin Yubin
Bonded 10 Years Ago on MBC's 'Infinite Challenge'
Broadcaster Park Myung-soo has become a hot topic for taking a 'selfie' with 2024 Paris Olympic table tennis medalist Shin Yu-bin. Their connection is said to date back as far as 10 years ago. On the 13th, Park Myung-soo posted a photo taken with Shin Yu-bin on his Instagram account, writing, "Our Ppiyak who warmly smiled remembering the old Mudo (Infinite Challenge). So proud and admirable."

It is reported that Shin Yu-bin is already acquainted with Park Myung-soo and the members of MBC variety show 'Infinite Challenge.' Their relationship goes back to 2014.
At that time, 10-year-old elementary school student Shin Yu-bin appeared as a table tennis prodigy on the 372nd episode of Infinite Challenge. On the show, Shin Yu-bin showcased her skills by competing in table tennis matches against Park Myung-soo and other members.
Although only 10 years old, Shin Yu-bin's skills were already fully developed. Despite the handicap of having to hit the ball with a frying pan and a mini racket instead of a regular table tennis paddle, she smoothly handled the matches and even defeated all Infinite Challenge members on a triangular-shaped table.

After the match, broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk encouraged her, saying, "Please show us a wonderful performance at the Olympics in the future," and "I hope to continue seeing you grow into an excellent athlete."
In the end, Shin Yu-bin repaid the support of the Mudo members after 10 years. Netizens who saw the selfie posted by Park Myung-soo responded with comments such as, "You can feel the passage of time," "I now truly understand what it means that human connections can take unexpected turns," and "She really came back as an Olympic medalist. It's truly touching."
Shin Yu-bin played a total of 14 matches, including the mixed doubles round of 16 with Lim Jong-hoon on the first day of the Paris Olympics last month on the 27th. She competed in three events: mixed doubles, women's singles, and team doubles, participating in all the bronze medal matches. Among these, she won two bronze medals in mixed doubles and team events.
