SKC Launches Game-Based Recycling Platform for Elementary Students' Resource Circulation Education

Utilizing 'My Green Place' Released in 2022

SKC has launched resource circulation education targeting elementary school students using the game-based recycling platform 'My Green Place.'

On the 13th, SKC announced that it conducted the 'My Green School' activity at a local children's center in Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, in collaboration with the social contribution network Happy Alliance.

My Green School is an educational program for elementary school students promoted by SKC to raise awareness of recycling. Since 2022, it has introduced plastic recycling methods to elementary schools and local children's centers nationwide every year.

The education consists of learning the characteristics of plastic materials, followed by a practical session where students directly scan the barcodes of plastic products using the My Green Place application to learn proper recycling methods. My Green Place is the first game-based recycling platform launched in Korea in 2022.

SKC plans to strengthen cooperation with local communities to expand the target areas for education in the second half of the year. Additionally, by participating in the government's 'Neulbom School' program, which provides care time at school for first-grade elementary students, SKC aims to steadily broaden the scope of education through a practical recycling environmental education program.

An SKC official stated, "Through resource circulation education applying My Green Place, we will further enhance the social value of the platform and take the lead in raising awareness of resource circulation."
