On the 14th, Volkswagen Group revealed the battery manufacturers for 14 different trims through each brand's official website. They created a separate section on the website so that consumers can directly check the manufacturers.
Audi equipped six models ? ▲e-tron S ▲e-tron S Sportback ▲e-tron Sportback 55 Quattro ▲Q8 50 e-tron Quattro ▲Q8 55 e-tron Quattro ▲Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron Quattro ? with Samsung SDI batteries.
Additionally, six models ? ▲e-tron 50 Quattro ▲e-tron Sportback 50 Quattro ▲e-tron GT Quattro ▲RS e-tron GT Quattro ▲Q4 e-tron 40 ▲Q4 Sportback e-tron 40 ? were fitted with LG Energy Solution batteries. One model, ▲e-tron 55 Quattro, uses a combination of LG Energy Solution and Samsung SDI batteries.
The Volkswagen brand installed LG Energy Solution batteries in one model sold domestically, the ID.4.
Meanwhile, following the electric vehicle fire incident in Incheon on the 1st, consumer inquiries about battery manufacturers surged, prompting imported car brands to also announce battery manufacturers on their websites one after another, starting with domestic car brands.
