Renault Korea announced on the 14th that it will hold the 2024 Startup Open Stage to discover early-stage companies with technologies to be applied to new cars to be developed in the future.

This event consists of a domestic track, hosted by Renault Korea and the Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, and a global track, hosted by the Renault Group and the Korea International Trade Association. The recruitment fields are two categories: ‘In-Car Experience,’ which develops content using in-vehicle infotainment systems, and ‘In-Car Gaming,’ which develops game content or hardware and software platforms. Applications are open until the 1st of next month.

Last year, the company also held the same event. Collaborating with the selected DreamAce, they developed next-generation infotainment services included in the recently released new car, the Grand Koleos. Startups that pass the feasibility and suitability review process gain the opportunity to apply their technologies to new cars through collaboration contracts. Selected companies receive support such as technology verification and on-site mentoring. Those selected for the global track receive assistance when entering overseas markets.

Choi Sung-kyu, head of the Renault Korea Research Center, said, "The Renault Korea Research Center is dedicated to researching and developing innovative technologies, including next-generation infotainment systems, for future vehicles that embody the Renault Group’s philosophy of ‘cars that accompany you every day.’"
