The Gyeonggi-do Human Resources Development Institute will lease and exhibit 30 artworks by 20 disabled artist creators until December this year to promote income generation and artistic activities among disabled artists.
Earlier, in February this year, the institute conducted a pilot exhibition of 5 artworks in the main building's lounge area, and has since displayed a total of 30 pieces in the main lobby, lounge, classrooms, auditorium, library, and cafeteria. The artworks in this exhibition mainly feature disabled artists who were not exhibited in the first half of the year.
The institute plans to support disabled artists by providing the income generated from leasing and exhibiting their works in public institutions and multi-use facilities as part of its job support project for disabled artists.
Kim Gi-eun, director of the Gyeonggi-do Human Resources Development Institute, stated, "This will be an opportunity for trainees to appreciate artworks by new artists and consider diversity," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide more opportunities for disabled artists."
