Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced on the 14th that it will support three complexes?Mokdong Apartment Complexes 3, 4, and 11?with approximately 600 million KRW to expand 230 parking spaces through the '2024 Second Half Multi-family Housing Support Project.'
For the first time through this 'Second Half Multi-family Housing Support Project,' the district will separately support up to 80% of the project costs for outdoor parking lot expansion. Earlier this year, the 'Multi-family Housing Support Ordinance' was partially amended to allow support of up to 70-80% of the total project cost for outdoor parking expansion per household, and a budget of 1 billion KRW was secured.
Subsequently, after expert on-site inspections and review by the 'Multi-family Housing Support Deliberation Committee' for complexes applying for outdoor parking expansion, three Mokdong Apartment complexes were finally selected. The support scale amounts to 591.35 million KRW for creating a total of 230 parking spaces, expected to alleviate chronic parking shortages in large apartment complexes and reduce accident risks caused by illegal parking.
The district plans to accept additional applications for outdoor parking expansion support from the 26th of this month within the available budget. In addition, through the multi-family housing support project, maintenance support funds totaling 853.78 million KRW for 25 projects across 22 complexes will be provided. Depending on the complex size, 50-80% of the total project cost will be supported.
District Mayor Lee Gi-jae stated, "We have expanded the support ratio for outdoor parking expansion to improve the residential environment for residents experiencing inconvenience due to parking shortages in large complexes," and added, "We will implement various customized support measures to create a safe and pleasant residential environment for multi-family housing residents."
