Intensive Deployment Across Gwangju City Over Two Days: 14th to 15th
Gwangju police will launch a large-scale crackdown on reckless motorcycle riders around Liberation Day on the 15th.
The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency (Chief Han Chang-hoon) and the Gwangju Metropolitan Autonomous Police Committee (Chairman Ahn Jin) announced on the 13th that they will mobilize more than 170 personnel, including traffic police, traffic crime investigation teams, and riot squads, to intensively crack down on illegal motorcycle activities across Gwangju from the 14th to the 15th.

Gwangju police plan to take a proactive approach to reckless and violent motorcycle behavior during the August 15 Liberation Day, strictly cracking down on reckless and violent motorcycles.
The police will also conduct sobriety checks at major intersections and expected gathering spots for reckless and violent motorcycles, especially during late-night hours.
The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency and the Gwangju Metropolitan Autonomous Police Committee plan to conduct regular joint crackdowns with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and local governments on illegal motorcycle activities that cause inconvenience to citizens.
A Gwangju police official stated, "We will respond strictly to reckless and violent motorcycle behavior that threatens citizens' safety and do our best to ensure safety on the roads for the public."
