On the 13th, economic organizations welcomed the special pardon of businesspeople released in celebration of Gwangbokjeol, stating that it is a "national demand to invigorate the economy."

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) said in a statement that day, "We welcome the government's decision to provide an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners from various industries to return to the business field through the Gwangbokjeol special pardon."

KITA added, "The external environment has become precarious due to recent normalized geopolitical instability, major countries' hegemonic competition, increasing economic bloc formation, and rising nationalism. We deeply sympathize with the national demand for businesspeople to unite their capabilities and revitalize the economy."

It further stated, "The trade industry will make greater efforts to achieve this year's export target of 700 billion dollars through this pardon and will continue to dedicate itself to ensuring that exports remain a reliable driving force for the national economy."

The Korea Federation of Medium-sized Enterprises commented, "Keeping in mind the purpose of the special pardon, not only businesspeople but the entire corporate sector should make their best efforts to enhance economic dynamism."

The Federation added, "The inclusiveness of the special pardon, which broadly covers small and medium-sized business owners and small merchants, will breathe new life into the shrinking livelihood and strengthen a wide social cooperation foundation as an essential condition for realizing a dynamic economy."
