Seokgyeong AT Reports 5.7 Billion KRW in H1 Sales, Up 2.5% YoY... "Expecting Improved Performance in H2 Due to Market Recovery"

Nanomaterial specialist company Seokgyeong AT announced on the 13th through a disclosure that its consolidated financial statements showed sales of 5.72555 billion KRW for the first half of this year, an increase of 2.5% compared to the same period last year. Operating profit was 372.72 million KRW, down 72.0% from the same period last year. Net profit for the period increased by 24.7% to 1.7324 billion KRW.

A company official explained, "As we expanded our high-level research personnel, research and development expenses increased, and depreciation expenses of tangible assets also rose due to the increase in mass production and analysis facilities and equipment," adding, "Additionally, a significant amount of non-cash expenses from stock option fair value evaluation was recognized as selling and administrative expenses in the second quarter, which affected the decrease in operating profit."

The company stated that its business conditions and performance are showing signs of recovery. In fact, second-quarter sales increased by 22.9% compared to the first quarter, and operating profit turned positive. Net profit for the period increased by 451.1%.

Seokgyeong AT expects sales related to overseas dental material customers to increase as their business conditions improve. Besides New Glass, the new product Glass dental filler, which is about to be launched, is gaining significant interest from domestic and international customers, and this product lineup is expected to drive sales growth.

The third plant located in Gimje-si, Jeonbuk, which began construction in May, is currently progressing smoothly without any delays in each construction phase, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year as originally planned. The third plant will serve as a production base for Seokgyeong AT’s new business initiatives and will be responsible for mass production of ▲ Hollow Silica ▲ Thermal Interface Material (TIM) for electric vehicle batteries ▲ Solid electrolyte materials for all-solid-state batteries (secondary batteries).

The newly established cleanroom for solid electrolyte analysis and evaluation of all-solid-state batteries at the Ansan headquarters began full operation in July, accelerating research and development. The borate-based solid electrolyte developed by Seokgyeong AT is characterized by low moisture sensitivity, low potential for harmful gas generation, and high safety and economic efficiency by using low-cost borate raw materials.

Meanwhile, Seokgyeong AT recently signed a trust contract to acquire treasury stock worth 1 billion KRW to stabilize its stock price and enhance shareholder value. The company plans to continue shareholder-friendly management through various policies going forward.
