10 Local Companies Target LA Market with 23 Products
Geochang County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 13th that a shipment ceremony was held at Haneul Bio Agricultural Corporation in Namsang-myeon, attended by County Governor Koo Inmo and representatives from export companies, to mark the launch of the 'Geochang Premium Agricultural Products Antenna Shop in LA, USA'.
The items being exported this time include Geochang rice, apple juice, bitter melon processed products, bugak (traditional vegetable chips), chestnuts, mung bean starch powder, multigrain powder, and more, totaling 23 products from 10 companies. These will be sold at Homeshopping World, located in Los Angeles, USA.

Through the antenna shop, Geochang County plans to raise awareness of its premium agricultural products in the western United States and secure sustainable export channels over a four-month period from September to December.
The companies participating in this export include Geochang County Nonghyup Rice Cooperative Business Corporation, Gajiri Apple Farming Cooperative, Durebang Food, DP&S, Jinsan Myungga, Sanmaru Food, Rice Farmer, Haneul Bio, Healing Farm, and Chammari, among others. The county also plans to discover additional export items and introduce a variety of products to the US market.
Governor Koo said, "I hope the operation of the LA antenna shop will promote Geochang County's premium agricultural products and serve as an opportunity to discover and expand promising export items," adding, "We will continue to expand various overseas marketing events to secure stable export channels for Geochang's agricultural products."
Meanwhile, since 2022, the county has been conducting market development marketing events and operating both online and offline antenna shops to secure sales channels for Geochang agricultural products in the western United States. From October 12 to 15, Geochang County will participate in the LA Korean Festival Agro-Fisheries Expo held in Koreatown, Los Angeles, to further promote its agricultural products.
