Participants of the Gyeonggi Youth Ladder program (Ladder Teens) returned from their three-week overseas training during the two days of June 11-12 in the United States and Canada.

The Gyeonggi Youth Ladder is a project supported by Gyeonggi Province to provide youth with opportunities to cultivate a global mindset, motivate self-development, and explore career paths through overseas training. This project was selected as a lottery fund project and launched for the first time this year.

During the training period, the participating youth attended language classes focused on small-group discussions with native speakers on various topics on weekday mornings.

In the afternoons, they engaged in physical activities with local students, practical English usage, special lectures on career mentoring, and team projects. On weekends, they visited cultural facilities and landmarks to experience diverse global cultures and participated in mentoring sessions at the University of Michigan, the University of Toronto, and KOTRA to assist with youth career exploration.

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Institute will hold a performance sharing meeting with the Youth Ladder participants on September 7.

Additionally, to support the systematic growth of youth, career consulting linked with career exploration tests and continuous learning support opportunities through ‘Youth Online Learning Coaching’ will be provided.
