Ottogi lowered the convenience store selling price of its Jjashulraem (Jjashulreong) Jjajang ramen by an average of 14.3% earlier this month.
According to the food industry on the 12th, Ottogi has been selling a single pack of Jjashulraem bag noodles at convenience stores from the 1st at 1,200 won, down 200 won from the previous 1,400 won. The price of the 5-pack bundle product was also reduced from 7,000 won to 6,000 won. Ottogi explained that it adjusted prices in some channels to ease the burden on consumers.
The Jjashulraem price reduction applies only to products sold at convenience stores among distribution channels. Earlier, Ottogi lowered the price of cooking oil products by an average of 5% on April 1 to cooperate with the government's price stabilization policy. Additionally, when domestic ramen manufacturers lowered product prices last July, Ottogi also participated by reducing the prices of 15 ramen products by an average of 5%.
