CJ CheilJedang announced on the 12th that the K-food showcased at the 'Bibigo Market' event during the 2024 Paris Olympics was met with great enthusiasm, with 500 servings sold daily.


Bibigo Market was set up as a Korean-style market booth at the Korea House of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee located in the center of Paris. They introduced five combo menus featuring Bibigo Tteokbokki and Kimchi paired with dumplings, rice balls, hot dogs, and more. Among these, the beef bulgogi dumpling combo and chicken dumpling combo were especially popular, according to the company.

The 500 servings prepared daily at the booth were sold out in an average of four hours. Visits from buyers also continued. More than 60 buyers from a total of 19 companies, including major local distribution channels, sampled the prepared menus and confirmed the potential of Bibigo products such as dumplings and K-street food. One buyer who tried the Bibigo hot dog, introduced for the first time in Europe, responded positively, saying, "This product fits very well with the K-street food trend in the French market."


CJ CheilJedang plans to accelerate the entry of new distribution channels in the recently entered French market and expand its European food business, leveraging the success of Bibigo Market. To this end, in France, they will focus on increasing local brand awareness and consumer experience through Bibigo pop-up stores and tasting events, and expand sales channels to new countries such as Sweden and Italy, thereby extending their business territory across Europe.


A CJ CheilJedang official said, "We gained confidence seeing local visitors enjoying Bibigo K-food," adding, "We will lead the expansion of the K-food base in Europe by promoting various products such as dumplings, chicken, processed rice, kimchi, and K-street food."
